SOUNDING NORDIC

Two years of Master studies at the Norwegian Academy of music are slowly coming to an end and I have been busy preparing for my last exams. For that I have been researching the characteristics of the music, composed in the northern countries during different periods of time, with the main focus on the contemporary music and the romantic era.

The first concert of the Nordic Sound project has taken place on may 10th at 19:00 at the Norwegian Academy of music.
In various chamber group settings have performed the music of nordic contemporary composers, representing the countries of Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Iceland. In addition to that a newly comissioned work, dedicated to me has been premiered as well as a piece by a female contemporary composer from my homeland.
The concert was accompanied by a special light design.
