Eine Stimme still

In May 2024 I successfully completed my second master’s degree with a final recital in the Great Hall of the Basel Academy of Music. “Eine Stimme still” is a musical concept that looks back to the “fin de siècle” era in Vienna and at the same time into the future. Where are the boundaries between language and music, sound and silence? This question links the themes of the era (including symbolism, love, decadence, morbidity and language crisis) with the social changes reflected in the works performed. Together with Carl Wolf on the piano, I have performed original works by T. Demenga, D. Jakšič, A. Webern and R. Strauss, as well as newly orchestrated “Songs without Words” in my own arrangements by composers A. Berg, A. Schönberg and A. Mahler. With poems and lyrics read by Onna Stäheli, the stage gives us a glimpse of an “artist’s room” from 1900.The recordings of the recital will soon be published on my media channels: youtube, instagram and facebook.
